A few weeks ago, I complained that the new Google’s Blogger dashboard no longer supported Safari. Instead Google encouraged people to switch to Chrome, Google’s own browser.
I predicted that it would not stop there, knowing Google’s tendency to monopolize the web world.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are moving yet one step closer to Google’s web dominance: now Firefox users get an error message popping up when using Google Docs, urging users to switch to… Google Chrome once more.
What’s the next step? Mmm Google+ will follow soon. And Google Maps. And the biggie would of course be if Google web search would only be possible with Chrome.
Was there not a US anti-trust law invented once to stand against monopolies?
Maybe it is time to #OccupyGoogle to shake things up a bit.
