UNEP, The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the United Nations system’s agency addressing environmental issues at the global and regional level. Its mandate is to coordinate the development of environmental policy consensus by keeping the global environment under review and bringing emerging issues to the attention of governments and the international community for action.

They are looking for a Social Networking Consultant for their base in Nairobi, Kenya. The vacancy announcement is available online.

The  Humanitarian Logistics cluster, is responsible for the information sharing and coordination in case of a humanitarian emergency. That includes infrastructure assessments, port & corridor coordination, gathering information of transporters and rates, customs, equipment. Their Rome based coordination cell is looking for a junior web developer to maintain their website and all web applications. An ideal job for a fresh computer graduate, they say. How to promote your blogposts

“Content is King” is one of the most important slogans for serious bloggers: No matter how well you promote your blog, if your content – what and how your write – is mediocre, people might discover your blog, but won’t come back. Good, original content is key.

It also works the other way round: you can write the best content but if people don’t discover your blog, you will be writing in a void. There is nothing as frustrating for a blogger than to write a fantastic post, … and see nobody reads it.

They offer an easy, fast and gratis way to convert any RSS feed into a simple Javascript. Each time the page with that Javascript is run, it displays the contents of the feed as if it were content on your page.
